Dear fellow LVCS Parents,

We all know public schools have to do more with a lot less due to budget cuts. As a public charter school, Livermore Valley Charter School currently receives $1,148 less per student than other Livermore public schools.

Did you know that employees of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have an amazing opportunity to help our kids by participating in the L.L.N.L. Helping Others More Effectively (H.O.M.E.) Campaign? The $1,200 per student donation we are asking each of our families through our Annual Fund Drive (AFD) will be mostly matched by L.N.L.L.!

The L.L.N.L. HOME Campaign ends on 12/2/11... so please hurry! Employees of L.L.N.L. can make a one time contribution (any amount helps) this year to enjoy the full tax deduction in 2011 or have a smaller amount taken out in each paycheck. Either way, your contribution will be fully tax deductible.

Simply go to the internal L.L.N.L. website where you will see a link to the HOME Campaign in a multitude of places. Once you click on the HOME Campaign, you will see the organizations you have donated to last year. If this is the first time you are donating for our school, please do an organization search for "Choice for Children Education Foundation" (Note: not L.V.C.S. or C.C.E.F.). Choice for Children Education Foundation is the official non-profit foundation formed to exclusively support L.V.C.S. Our Tax ID is #20-1852481. The on-line contribution is very simple and quick. Upon payment a receipt will be emailed to you for your tax records.
