Student Admissions:
LVCS is an exciting, vibrant school that offers a rigorous, student centered curriculum. We are happy that you are looking at LVCS for your child. As a school of choice, LVCS wants to encourage you to use the application process as an opportunity to evaluate and decide if LVCS is the right school for your family!
Preference for enrollment shall be given in order of priority according to LVCS charter as follows: LVCS shall admit all students who wish to enroll in the School subject only to capacity. If there are more applicants than capacity, at any grade level, admission to LVCS, except for returning students to the School shall be determined by a random public drawing (lottery).
Preference for enrollment shall be given in order of priority according to LVCS charter as follows:
1) Students returning from the previous year.
2) Siblings of currently enrolled students in LVCS or LVCP
3) Children of the faculty of LVCS
4) Residents of areas served by the LVJUSD
5) Other California residents
The enrollment office must receive the completed Student Application by mail or hand delivery, in order to be considered for our lottery, by February10th, 2012 by 3:30 p.m. or postmarked no later than that date. No faxed or emailed applications will be accepted.
An incomplete application will not be entered into our lottery. .
Due Friday, February 10th by 3:30 pm!
No exceptions!
Attendance at one of our Information Meetings is mandatory for all first time lottery entrants.
Information Meetings will be held in the LVCS Multi-Purpose Room:
1/26 6:30PM Kindergarten
1/26 7:15PM 1st – 8th Grades
2/9 6:30PM K – 8th
2/9 7:15PM K – 8th Spanish
Please join us for our school wide Open House on 2/16 from 6:30-8:00PM
The lottery will be held February 21st beginning at 6:00PM. Participants in the lottery do not need to be present at the time of the lottery in order for their student to gain placement in an open class seat or on the wait list.
Entry and waiting list information will be posted at the school on Monday, February 27th at 10:00AM.
If a family decides NOT to take a seat awarded to them via the lottery, LVCS retains that seat and awards it to the next eligible student on the wait list. We ask families to let us know as soon as they are sure of their plans, to ensure a smooth transition for incoming families and students.
